Ingredients
Scale
- 500 grams boneless chicken thighs, sliced
- 4 large wraps or pita breads
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1 cup tomatoes, diced
- 1/2 cup cucumber, sliced
- 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup tahini sauce or garlic sauce
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken slices and mix well to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
- Cook the Chicken: Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked and slightly charred.
- Prepare the Wraps: Warm the wraps or pita breads on a skillet for about 30 seconds on each side.
- Assemble the Wraps: Place a portion of the cooked chicken on each wrap. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion. Drizzle with tahini sauce or garlic sauce. Roll the wrap tightly around the fillings.
- Serve: Cut the wraps in half and serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust the Spice Level: For more heat, add extra cayenne pepper or some hot sauce.
- Make it Creamy: Add some hummus or additional yogurt for a creamier texture.
- Vegetable Variations: Feel free to add more vegetables like bell peppers or parsley for extra freshness.
- Serving Suggestion: Serve with a side of pickled vegetables for added flavor.
