- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 carrot, diced
- 2 stalks celery, diced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup beef stock
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté until soft, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in diced carrots and celery. Cook for 5 minutes, then add frozen peas.
- Mix in tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and beef stock. Stir well and bring to a simmer.
- Simmer for 10-15 minutes, allowing flavors to meld. For a thicker consistency, stir in a cornstarch slurry.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot with your favorite sides.
