Description
A delicious cinnamon cake with a cream cheese swirl.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup butter, melted (for batter)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup butter, melted (for swirl)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream or milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter. Mix until just combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter for the swirl.
- Pour half the batter into the baking dish, then spoon half the swirl mixture on top.
- Add remaining batter, then swirl in the rest of the cinnamon mixture using a knife.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- While baking or cooling, beat cream cheese until smooth, then add powdered sugar and cream. Mix until fluffy.
- Let cake cool 15–20 minutes before frosting with cream cheese mixture.
- Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- For best results, let the cake cool completely before serving.
- The cake can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
