- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice (for drizzle)

Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare Baking Dish: Grease an 8-inch square baking dish.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream Butter and Sugar: In a separate large bowl, cream the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add Eggs and Lemon: Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the lemon zest and lemon juice.
- Mix Wet and Dry: Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour. Mix just until combined.
- Pour Batter: Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
- Bake: Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Prepare Lemon Drizzle: While the cake is baking, mix the powdered sugar and lemon juice in a small bowl to create the drizzle.
- Drizzle: Once the cake is out of the oven, immediately poke holes all over the top using a skewer or fork, then pour the lemon drizzle over the cake.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the cake to cool slightly. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, garnished with lemon zest curls.
