Description

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add molasses, egg, and vanilla; mix until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  5. Scoop tablespoon-sized dough onto prepared sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
  6. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
