- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lbs)
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 large yellow onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tsp chili powder
- Juice of 1 lime
- 8 flour or corn tortillas
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Slice chicken breasts into thin strips to ensure even cooking.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and season with salt and pepper; cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Add sliced bell peppers and onion to the skillet; sauté for about 4 minutes until softened.
- Sprinkle cumin and chili powder over the mixture; stir well to combine.
- Squeeze fresh lime juice over the fajita mixture just before removing from heat.
- Serve hot on warm tortillas and add desired toppings like sour cream or guacamole.
