Description

A delicious and easy dessert made with Saltine crackers, chocolate, and toffee.


Ingredients

  • 1 sleeve Saltine crackers (about 40 crackers)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional, such as pecans or walnuts)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Arrange the Saltine crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and brown sugar until bubbly, stirring constantly.
  4. Pour the hot toffee mixture over the crackers, spreading evenly.
  5. Bake for 5-7 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven, sprinkle chocolate chips on top, and then break into pieces.

Notes

  • For an added crunch, sprinkle chopped nuts over the chocolate chips before cooling.
