- Fresh parsley for garnish
- 1 baguette, sliced
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the Beef: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add the ground beef, season with salt, pepper, and oregano, and cook until browned.
- Prepare the Sauce: Stir in the marinara sauce with the cooked beef. Simmer for 5 minutes and set aside.
- Mix Ricotta Filling: In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, half of the Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.
- Cook the Noodles: Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and cool.
- Assemble the Lasagna: In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce. Place 3 noodles over it. Spread half of the ricotta mixture, followed by a layer of mozzarella. Repeat with another layer of sauce, noodles, remaining ricotta, and mozzarella. Top with a final layer of noodles, remaining sauce, and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Prepare Garlic Bread: Mix softened butter with garlic and parsley. Spread over sliced baguette pieces. Toast in the oven for 10 minutes or until golden.
- Garnish and Serve: Allow lasagna to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with garlic bread.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a splash of red wine to the meat sauce.
- Feel free to incorporate vegetables like spinach or zucchini for a healthier twist.
