Description
Delicious crispy breaded pork chops, perfect for dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 pork chops, about 1-inch thick
- to taste salt and pepper
- 2 cups breadcrumbs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare the Pork Chops: Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Set Up Breading Stations: In a shallow dish, mix together the flour with a pinch of salt and pepper. In another dish, beat the eggs and milk together. In a third dish, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Bread the Pork Chops: Dredge each pork chop in the flour, shaking off excess. Dip into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off. Coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Cook the Pork Chops: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the pork chops. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Final Touch: Remove chops from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- Ensure the oil is hot before adding the pork chops to achieve a crispy crust.
- Let the breaded chops rest for a few minutes after dredging to help the coating adhere better during cooking.
- For added flavor, you can mix some finely chopped herbs into the breadcrumb mixture.
- Serve with a side of mashed potatoes or a fresh green salad for a complete meal.
