A delicious casserole combining ground beef, cheddar cheese, and golden French fries.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1/4 cup chopped pickles
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 bag frozen French fries (about 20 ounces)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and diced onions until browned. Drain any fat.
- Add garlic, ketchup, mustard, and pickles to the skillet. Stir and simmer for 3–5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Top the beef with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Arrange frozen French fries over the cheese in a single layer.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until fries are golden and crispy.
- Broil for 2–3 minutes if extra crispiness is desired.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Add optional toppings like tomatoes or lettuce.
