Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large waffles (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- Powdered sugar for dusting
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Whipped Cream: In a mixing bowl, combine heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form. Set aside in the refrigerator.
- Prepare the Waffles: If using store-bought waffles, heat them according to the package instructions. If making homemade waffles, prepare your favorite waffle batter and cook in a waffle iron until golden brown.
- Assemble the Dish: Place the warm waffles on a serving platter. Arrange banana slices evenly over the waffles.
- Add the Toppings: Using a piping bag or spoon, add dollops of whipped cream on top of the bananas. Drizzle generously with caramel sauce. If using, sprinkle with chopped nuts and a dusting of ground cinnamon.
- Final Touch: Lightly dust with powdered sugar.
Notes
- For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of sea salt to the caramel sauce before drizzling.
- If you prefer a chocolate twist, drizzle some melted chocolate in addition to caramel.
- Toast the nuts for a few minutes in a pan to enhance their flavor before using.
- You can substitute coconut cream for a dairy-free version of the whipped cream.
